Finding your Avery Template
- Type in the product number (4 or 5 digit code) in the search box in the center of the page and click on the small magnifying glass or press Enter on your keyboard (the Avery product number is located on the front of the package)
- On the template page that appears, click on the red Start Designing button
- Sign in or Create your free Avery account with an email and password
On Step #2 Choose Design there are pre-designed templates and blank templates. Click on the design you want to start with, and in the Choose Design - Preview window click Customize Design. Note: If you cannot see the Customize button, your screen may be too zoomed in. Use Ctrl - on Windrow or Cmnd - on Apple to zoom out.
- Now you are on Step # 3 Customize screen
Adding and Formatting Text
You will see one label on your screen and to the right, you will see a small preview of the entire label sheet called the Navigator.
To type in Text - (on the left side of the screen) click on the T for text then click on Add Text Box
- To format text - (ie: choose font, size, centering options etc.) click in the text box and click-drag to highlight the placeholder Type your Text in blue
- Make formatting changes to the left of the screen while your text is highlighted
- To create project with the same information on each label, make sure Edit All is selected on the right side.
Printing your Project in Design and Print Online
- After the information is typed on the label - Click on Step #4 Preview & Print (top of the screen)
- This will give you a full page view of the project
- On the right, click on the blue button Get PDF To Print or the green Let Us Print For You to order for WePrint
- Save your project - to your online Avery account or your Computer
- The Printing Tips page will appear - follow the instructions carefully
A new screen will open (preview.pdf) with a full view of your project - click the printer icon at the top right
- On the print dialog box - Make sure the Scale is set to Custom and 100% and then click on Print
- When using Microsoft Edge, Firefox, or Safari, choose Download PDF and open from your Downloads folder to open the file using Adobe Acrobat Reader. We do have articles on additional printing tips from these browsers in our Help Center in needed in Template Support, Print, Open & Save
- Click More Settings to check the Paper Size and the Scale is set to Custom and 100% and then click on Print
