Several Avery CD and CD/DVD labels share the same template. The different numbers represent different pack sizes, colors, materials, adhesives or printer compatibility (inkjet or laser or both).
You can design these using the 5931 template in Avery Design & Print Online.
You can also use a template built into Microsoft Word or download an Avery 5931 template for Word, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or Pages.
Here's some information on recommended printer settings.
If you want more information about a specific Avery label, search for the product number on avery.com.
To apply a printed label by hand:
- Place the CD (data side down) in a jewel case (you'll need to know if you have a standard or slimline case).
- There are perforations around the corners of the label guides, so gently detach along the perforations of the standard or slimline corner guides, then gently lift. The backing will stay on the guide edge of the label, but will be removed from the rest of the label.
- Align the label guide corner with the hinged edge of a standard case, or the non-hinged edge of a slimline case and press the label down to apply.
- Remove the label guide corner and the backing strip and firmly press the label onto the CD or DVD.
If you have a CD applicator, such as Avery 5699, follow these instructions.
