Here are some tips and tricks for printing Avery Shipping Labels.
- Use the label that is designed for your type of printer to ensure the best print results: inkjet labels for inkjet printers and laser labels for laser printers. You can find the printer information on the front of the Avery package.
- After you've designed your label, most programs create a pdf to print.
- When the pdf is open, click the Printer icon at the top, then choose the printer.
- Under More settings, be sure the Paper Size is set to letter and the Scale is set to Custom and 100%, unless your specific program has different instructions.
- Below that is the option to Print using System Dialog.
- Click that and look for the Preferences or Properties for your printer and choose the Media Type as Labels or Heavyweight or Cardstock. This will help your printer slow down and feed thicker products like Avery labels more accurately.
- If your printer has a manual feed tray, it's best to use that and feed one sheet at a time. That setting is also available in the printer Preferences or Properties.
- If you need extra help with your printer, look at your printer manufacturer's website for additional information or to reach their support team to be sure you're getting their most up-to-date solutions.
