If you are going to be printing one label at a time on Avery Shipping Labels with two labels on a page, you will need to rotate the label sheet and re-feed it to use the other label. Printers usually have an icon to show whether your printer will print on the face or the back side of a sheet, so check that first to be sure you're printing on the correct side of the label sheet.
To be sure you're rotating the sheet correctly, you can use a sheet of plain paper as a test sheet. Here's how:
- Mark a 1 and a 2 on a piece of paper where each label appears on the label sheet
- Print the first label on the test sheet to be sure it prints on the side of the sheet with the 1
- Rotate the sheet (remember which direction you're feeding) and insert it to print the second label
- If the second label is printed on the half of the paper with the 2, you've rotated correctly and will be printing in the right place. If not, re-test with a different rotation until you can print both labels successfully
Notes:
- Re-feeding will work best if the edge leading into the printer has a label.
- Run the sheet through the printer a maximum of two times.
- If you're using weatherproof or waterproof labels, only print them once.
