You can improve the quality of your printing using higher resolution images, which make your design look sharper and more professional. Lower resolution images look grainy when printed.
Resolution of a digital file is measured by pixels per inch (PPI). Pixels are box-shaped units that are next to each other to create elements such as text, lines and pictures. The best resolution for printing is 150 to 300 PPI. Images downloaded from the internet have poor quality, usually 72 dpi. This can cause them to look fuzzy when printed, especially when printed on a larger label or card.
Recommendations:
When searching for images online, click the Images tab, then Tools to select Large size
You can see the size in the bottom left corner of the image when you hover over it
Use PNG or PDF image files and avoid JPG files if possible
Zoom in on your design and if you can see the pixels, they won’t print sharply
Before ordering WePrint products or printing Avery products, print the design on a blank sheet as a test sheet
