What You Will Need
We used Avery custom printed cards for these jewelry display ideas, but you can use any preferred brand. However, the high-quality print and paper stock from Avery make them ideal for earring cards, necklace display cards, and press-on nail display cards. Custom Earring Cards
Well-designed earring display cards will enhance your product presentation. Additionally, they can feature essential details such as contact info and social handles, serving as a business card alternative.
To make your own earring cards and enamel pin cards, we recommend using a 1/16-inch hole punch. A sharp pushpin can also work, but avoid using the jewelry itself to create holes, as it may cause damage.
Mark hole placements with a pencil before punching to ensure proper alignment. Stud earrings, hanging earrings, and pins require different hole placements. Ensure your design doesn’t obscure your logo or important information. Once the holes are made, secure your jewelry by attaching the backing.
Ring Display Cards
Creating ring display cards requires precision. Select a hole punch size that fits your ring’s width without being too loose or tight, which can damage the card stock. A 3/32-inch hole punch is ideal for most rings.
Punch two holes slightly closer than the ring’s max width so it hangs slightly forward. Connect the holes with a straight cut using an X-Acto® blade or sharp box cutter. Insert the ring into the cuts, securing it with strong tape or a removable custom logo sticker on the back for extra branding.
Necklace Cards
Necklace display cards require hole punches on both edges of the card. Avoid placing them too close to the edge; about 1/4 inch should suffice. Use an X-Acto® blade to create a slit from each hole to the card’s edge, allowing the necklace chain to slide into place.
Once the chain is positioned, wrap any excess length on the back and secure it with tape. For a polished look, order custom labels matching your branding to seal the back.
Press-On Nail Display Cards

There are a variety of hole punchers available online. We used a 1/16th hole punch to make the jewelry cards in the article above. This is an example of a 1/16th hole punch. Gabriela, the author of the article, also told me you can manually punch the holes by using sewing needles. Just experiment with the size hole you want using different size needles.
