What You Will Need

We used Avery custom printed cards for these jewelry display ideas, but you can use any preferred brand. However, the high-quality print and paper stock from Avery make them ideal for earring cards, necklace display cards, and press-on nail display cards. Avery also offers both professionally printed and DIY printing options.

The Avery design tool allows you to choose from free, stylish templates as a starting point. You can upload your own artwork or design from scratch. This cost-effective solution is perfect for small businesses looking to elevate their branding with custom jewelry cards

Custom Earring Cards

We used custom postcards to create these earring cards. If you want to print your own earring cards try printable postcards.

Well-designed earring display cards will enhance your product presentation. Additionally, they can feature essential details such as contact info and social handles, serving as a business card alternative.

To make your own earring cards and enamel pin cards, we recommend using a 1/16-inch hole punch. A sharp pushpin can also work, but avoid using the jewelry itself to create holes, as it may cause damage.

Mark hole placements with a pencil before punching to ensure proper alignment. Stud earrings, hanging earrings, and pins require different hole placements. Ensure your design doesn’t obscure your logo or important information. Once the holes are made, secure your jewelry by attaching the backing.

Ring Display Cards

Make your own display cards for rings and other jewelry using these steps.
We used custom business cards to create these ring holders. If you want to print them yourself try printable business cards.

Creating ring display cards requires precision. Select a hole punch size that fits your ring’s width without being too loose or tight, which can damage the card stock. A 3/32-inch hole punch is ideal for most rings.

Punch two holes slightly closer than the ring’s max width so it hangs slightly forward. Connect the holes with a straight cut using an X-Acto® blade or sharp box cutter. Insert the ring into the cuts, securing it with strong tape or a removable custom logo sticker on the back for extra branding.

Necklace Cards

Make your own necklace display cards using these simple tips and Avery WePrint custom cards.
For these beautiful necklace cards, we used custom postcards. If you want to print the cards yourself try printable postcards.

Necklace display cards require hole punches on both edges of the card. Avoid placing them too close to the edge; about 1/4 inch should suffice. Use an X-Acto® blade to create a slit from each hole to the card’s edge, allowing the necklace chain to slide into place.

Once the chain is positioned, wrap any excess length on the back and secure it with tape. For a polished look, order custom labels matching your branding to seal the back.

Press-On Nail Display Cards

We use custom 2.5 x 2.5 square business cards for these press-on nails. You can also print yourself with printable cards.

The press-on nail trend is booming, and customizable press-on nail display cards can enhance branding while organizing nail sets for sale. Card displays help brands showcase their work while providing a professional look.

We used Avery 2” x 2” square business cards to make the perfect for press-on nail displays. They fit easily into popular storage containers and allow for multiple designs per order.

If ordering 250 business cards feels overwhelming, Avery lets you mix and match different designs to accommodate multiple product types—earrings, ring holders, and more—all in one order. And with the Avery Design and Print tool, creating custom earring cards, jewelry display cards, and nail packaging has never been easier.

Hair Bow Display Cards

For a polished, professional look, our hair bow display cards were made using custom postcards. If you want to print the cards yourself try printable postcards.

For hair bow display cards, a 1/8-inch hole punch typically works well, depending on the clip type. Punch the hole near the clip’s base for a secure hold. Positioning the hole properly ensures your display card keeps the bow in place without slipping.

If you want to add an extra touch of professionalism, consider printing your logo or branding elements directly on the display card. Using high-quality cardstock ensures durability, preventing the card from bending or tearing with repeated use. You can also experiment with different shapes and sizes to find the best fit for your product and target audience.

Elevate Your Jewelry Branding

With these jewelry display ideas, you can create stunning DIY earring cards, jewelry hang tags, necklace display cards, and more. Whether you’re a small business owner or a passionate crafter, custom jewelry cards give your brand a professional edge.

  1. If you want your jewelry and other accessories to stand out from the crowd, you must brand them and display them. I’m a jewelry lover and I’ll definitely try this organizer for my diamond earrings in the first place. Thanks.

  2. Hi London,
There are a variety of hole punchers available online. We used a 1/16th hole punch to make the jewelry cards in the article above. This is an example of a 1/16th hole punch. Gabriela, the author of the article, also told me you can manually punch the holes by using sewing needles. Just experiment with the size hole you want using different size needles. We hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions. Share your finished product on social media with #averyweprint and we might use it in our gallery. Thanks for reading!

  3. Do you have any ideas on how to cut/punch holes for hoops + leaverback earrings? The tab hole punchers I see online don’t look professional, they’re too thick.

  4. Do you all have anything for badge reel display cards? Also what the the display card material called like what thickness is the cardstock or is it some other type of card?

  5. Thanks! We’re glad you found the article helpful. Let us know how it works out!

  6. These are amazing tips. I’m especially excited to try the necklace card! I’ve tried boxed necklace cards and none have really worked for my products. It would be fantastic to customize the size to fit my displays.
