Avery Introduces Laser-Printable Reflective Labels for Industrial Users

Brea, California – June 16, 2021: Avery Products Corporation, has introduced heavy-duty polyester reflective labels into the Avery Industrial product lineup. Avery reflective labels are designed to work with standard laser printers, which provides safety and operations professionals with a convenient, cost-effective method for printing reflective safety signage and long-range barcode labels onsite.

Avery reflective labels use glass-bead retro-reflective technology to reflect light back at the same angle it is received. Retro-reflective labels provide high-visibility in low-light and dark conditions and reflect the light from barcode scanners more efficiently to increase scanning capability from longer distances.

According to Colwin Chan, Group Product Manager for Avery Industrial, “bringing high-quality durable retro-reflective labels to market – ones that actually work very well with standard laser printers, and can be used indoors or outside – was very important to us because it provides two-fold solutions for safety and operations professionals.”

He goes on to say, “One, increasing the visibility of directional signage, hazard warnings and other safety signage helps employees work safer. Two, reliable long-range barcode scanning increases day-to-day efficiency in hard-to-reach areas of a warehouse, yard or manufacturing facility.”

In terms of durability Avery reflective labels are UV, chemical, water, abrasion and tear resistant, lasting up to two years outdoors. The new product lineup features a variety of printable polyester reflective products engineered to meet the needs described by Chan:

• 3.5 " x 5" reflective labels; ideal for barcode labels used on warehouse rack and shelving
• 5" x 7" reflective labels; ideal for hazard warning labels and barcode labels for warehouse bins
• 7" x 10" reflective adhesive signs; designed for high-visible adhesive facility and safety signage
